Riverbend Technology Privacy Policy

The following privacy policy describes the information and privacy practices for Riverbend Technology, services provided at your home or office, at Riverbend Technology locations, and riverbendtech.com. This privacy policy describes how Riverbend Technology Agents will collect and use your information. When you provide a Riverbend Technology Agent with your personal information, you consent to the information practices described in this policy.

This privacy policy may not apply to web sites that are accessible through the riverbendtech.com website. riverbendtech.com may contain links to other sites operated by third parties including, but not limited to, third-party sites that display Riverbend Technology trademarks. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of those other sites to learn how they collect, use, share and secure your information.

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION: COLLECTION
While taking advantage of products or services available from Riverbend Technology, you may be asked to provide personal information. For example, you may be asked to provide personal information when you schedule an appointment for services at your home or office, bring in your product for service, purchase products, contact Riverbend Technology with a question or concern, or participate in other activities with Riverbend Technology. We may collect personal information such as your name, phone number, and email address for contact purposes. An address will be required for on-site operations.

 

PERSON INFORMATION: USE
Riverbend Technology uses the information you provide to contact you when you schedule an appointment. Your first name and last initial, along with the state you live in, may also be used if you submit a testimonial for riverbendtech.com. Your address will only be used to tell an Agent where to go when dropping off, picking up, or performing a service.

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION: SHARING
Riverbend Technology does not sell, rent, or share your personal information to third parties. We may, with you explicit permission, share a recommendation from you with other customers.
In extreme circumstances, Riverbend Technology may be required to share personal information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law. Riverbend Technology also reserves the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that Riverbend Technology, in good faith, believes to be unlawful. Riverbend Technology may share certain personal information when Riverbend Technology believes that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of others and ourselves. Riverbend Technology may also transfer personal information in the event of a corporate sale, merger, acquisition, dissolution or similar event.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

 

JUNK MAIL
If Riverbend Technology sends you any emails that you do not wish to receive, send a reply requesting to stop receiving them. You will then no longer receive emails from Riverbend Technology. Riverbend Technology will not send any marketing communications via postal service or telephone.

 

PRIVATE FILES
By using Riverbend Technology services such as Computer Repair, you are giving permission to a Riverbend Technology Agent to log into your computer which may contain personal information. A Riverbend Technology Agent will only search your computer to determine the cause of the problem and will attempt to limit their interaction with your files to a minimum. It is your responsibility to ensure all of your files, especially those containing personal information, are secure to prevent any type of data loss or corruption. Riverbend Technology will not copy, transmit, or otherwise share files from your computer without your permission.

 

WHOM MAY I CONTACT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THE PRIVACY OR SECURITY OF MY INFORMATION?
Please contact our Office Manager to report any known or suspected privacy or security breaches or to submit privacy or security-related questions or complaints. After receiving your inquiry, we will respond as soon as possible, usually within 48 hours. You may send a request to support@riverbendtech.com.

 

WILL THIS PRIVACY POLICY CHANGE?
Because Riverbend Technology will continue to implement new technologies and improve the services and features provided, this policy is subject to change. If there are changes or additions to this privacy policy, we will post those changes here or in other formats for you to review. If we change our information practices or this privacy policy in such a way that your personal information may be used or shared in a different manner, Riverbend Technology will give you the opportunity to opt-out of having your information used or shared in that new manner.  You may send a request to support@riverbendtech.com.
